Serious legal AI.Within reach of every firm.
Built for the solo practitioner, the small firm, the in-house team of three. Not just the firms that can afford a procurement team to buy it.
Why we built Donna
For decades, the best legal technology has gone to the firms that could afford a procurement team to buy it and an IT team to run it. Everyone else made do with email, shared drives, and the chase.
Donna is built the other way around. Lawyers and clients work in one place. The admin gets handled. The client sees what’s happening without asking. It works on day one, in any jurisdiction, whether you’re a solo practitioner or a firm of four hundred.
Why Donna exists
We build Donna so that working with a lawyer feels clear, and being a lawyer feels less heavy. One place for the matter. Less chasing. More time to think.
Our mission is plain: put genuinely good legal AI within reach of every firm, not just the largest. Made for the people who practise on their own, in twos, in tens. Made for their clients. Made to be useful on the first day, in any country.
Our values
We want Donna’s values to hold up for three people: the lawyer who leans on it, the client waiting on the matter, and the next person we hire. The same promise, read three ways.
Access by design
Donna shows up on day one for a solo practitioner, an in-house team of three, or a hundred-lawyer firm. Same software, same support, same chance to do excellent work. If it only works for the largest firms, we haven’t built it yet.
The lawyer leads
We build with the best tools there are, and shape all of it around one person: the lawyer. Donna does the substantive work: research, first drafts, the review pass. It hands the work back for the lawyer to read, rework, and sign. The final call, and the responsibility, stay with the lawyer. Quiet, dependable, never in front.
Clarity is the product
We do not measure ourselves on features shipped. We measure whether the client knew what was happening, whether the lawyer got their evening back, whether the matter moved. If a feature does not make the day clearer, it does not go in.
More clarity for the client.
More time to think for the lawyer.
